Dr. Muhammed K. V. is an Assistant Professor in Education at the School of Pedagogical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Calicut, Kerala, and has qualified UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He also possesses postgraduate qualifications in Political Science, Philosophy, and Education (M.Ed.).

Dr. Muhammed has made significant scholarly contributions to the field of Education through an extensive body of research published in reputed SCOPUS-indexed, UGC CARE-listed, and peer-reviewed journals. He has actively disseminated his research findings through presentations at national and international seminars/conferences and has contributed chapters to edited volumes and conference publications. He is deeply engaged in digital content development and has developed academic modules for SWAYAM MOOCs.

He began his professional career as a Lecturer at the Government College of Teacher Education, Kozhikode, Kerala. Subsequently, he served as a Higher Secondary School Teacher at UHHS School, Chaliyam, Kozhikode and later as an Assistant Professor in Education at Farook Training College, Kozhikode. Beyond his institutional responsibilities, he has been actively involved as a resource person for SCERT Kerala, Universities, teacher education institutions, competitive examination coaching programmes, professional development workshops, and teacher training initiatives. He has also contributed extensively to academic discourse through invited lectures, organising scholarly programmes, and chairing academic sessions.

He has been entrusted with academic responsibilities, including question paper setting and scrutiny, for prestigious institutions, including the Kerala Public Service Commission and various universities. He also serves as an Academic Counsellor for IGNOU. His research and academic interests encompass psychological and sociological foundations of education, ICT in Education, Social Science Education, teacher education, parenting and the development and validation of educational assessment tools.
