Dr. Muhammed K V holds the position of Assistant Professor in Education at the School of Pedagogical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He obtained his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Calicut, Kerala, and has also qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He possesses a post-graduation degree in Political Science, Philosophy, and Education (M.Ed.). His scholarly contributions are commendable, with over 35 articles published in SCOPUS indexed/UGC CARE listed/peer-reviewed journals and more than 52 papers presented at international and national conferences. He has authored 16 chapters in edited books published by reputed publishers. With great enthusiasm, he actively contributes to the development of e-contents and has developed modules for SWAYAM MOOCs.
Initially, Dr. Muhammed embarked on his teaching journey as a Lecturer at the Government College of Teacher Education, Kozhikode, Kerala. Subsequently, he served as a Higher Secondary School teacher and an Assistant Professor in Education at Farook Training College, Kozhikode. His expertise extends beyond the classroom, as he actively participates as a resource person for SCERT Kerala, Universities, Teacher Education Institutions, various competitive examinations, workshops for professional development, and teacher training programs. He has also played a pivotal role in delivering lectures, organizing various academic programs and chairing academic sessions.
Furthermore, Dr. Muhammed has been entrusted with the responsibility of setting question papers and scrutiny experts for esteemed institutions such as the Kerala Public Service Commission, the University of Kerala, and the University of Calicut. Additionally, he serves as an Academic Counsellor for IGNOU. His research and academic interests encompass a wide range of areas, including psychological and sociological perspectives of education, ICT in Education, Social Science Education, pedagogical training, parenting, and the development of evaluation tools.
